ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) penned down a letter to National Assembly (NA) Speaker Ayaz Sadiq in a case registered against PTI leader and MNA Shandana Gulzar Khan for ‘inciting people’, ARY News reported on Monday.
According to details, Deputy Director of Cybercrime Reporting Centre penned the letter, marking a step in the ongoing investigation.
Shandana Gulzar, a member of the National Assembly, has found herself embroiled her into the controversy over death of PTI worker Zilley Shah. She had brought forth a purported audio of Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz with regard to Zilley Shah’s death.
The PTI leader has been accused of disseminating content that purportedly incites hatred against the state and its leaders. The FIA has taken notice of the matter, issuing a summons for Shandana Gulzar on March 14.

In the letter addressed to the NA Speaker, FIA authorities cite Section 5(2) of the Majlis Shura Privileges, Immunities Act 2023 as the legal basis for the notice. “Gulzar is accused of spreading hatred against the state and its leaders”, it stated.
“If the member assembly fails to appear before authorities after two notices, a case will be registered against her [Gulzar],” the FIA said.
