RAWALPINDI:
A disabled traffic warden from Rawalpindi police has recently set an example of professional motivation and courage by performing duty and completing his post-graduation degree with a gold medal.
Abdul Razzaq was performing his duty when he was badly hit by a speeding car driver, who was under the influence of liquor.
The warden joined the Rawalpindi City Traffic Police in 2007 and continued to perform duties. In 2021, he was doing his duty when he tried to stop a speeding car, but the driver ran over the warden.
Abdul Razzaq’s leg was severely fractured and he remained under treatment for a long time. Instead of being heartbroken, he resumed his studies and did a post-graduation in International Relations (IR). Recently, he completed his MS in Development Sciences from the Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Sciences and Technology and bagged a gold medal.
Senior officers and wardens of the Rawalpindi CTP paid tribute to Abdul Razzaq for his outstanding performance despite duty and disability at a ceremony held at the CTP headquarters.
Rawalpindi Chief Traffic Officer Taimur Khan, speaking on the occasion, said that the achievements of Abdul Razzaq are the achievements of the entire city traffic police. He prayed for the warden’s success in every field of life.
