KARACHI: In a shift from recent positive trends, the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) faced selling pressure Tuesday, causing the benchmark KSE-100 Index to conclude the trading day with a slight dip of 225.68 points. Yesterday, the index posted over 300 points gains earlier in the day but closed in red once again.
Stock market rebounds after yesterday’s decline
Today the index opened at 65,656.62 points and quickly climbed to 65,874.15 points, but then started deteriorating again. By noon, the index was hovering around 65,387.56 points, 269.06 points lower than the starting point.
The total trading volume of the benchmark KSE-100 index until 11 AM was over 60 million shares, and the rise and decline came from a range of sectors.
